Workshop – Next Generation Sequencing

NGS data analysis is a multi-step strategy starting with read-based analyses (Mapping, SNP, CNV, splice sites) and continuing to biologically motivated meta-analyses such as enrichment analyses, pathway, and network analyses. This tutorial introduces the basics of gene regulatory mechanisms, provides an overview of basic tools required including general rules and guidelines for planning of analyses strategies, and finally presents a real-life example of a complete NGS RNA-Seq experiment elucidating a molecular mechanism of transcriptional regulation of a special class of long non-coding RNAs.
