National Immunization Awareness Month

With students preparing to head back to schools across the country, August is a good month to host National Immunization Awareness.

The guideline from the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) outlines major recommendations for vaccines in people up to the age of 18.

Although the CDC doesn’t sponsor this event, they do have a handy page with resources and news, including the toolkit (complete with sample press releases and tweets, to help get the word out) from Healthfinder.gov.
