The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) has released a new website to explore its content. JoVE is a peer reviewed, video journal on biological, medical, chemical and physical research that is indexed in PubMed and whose content is made available by the Taubman Health Sciences Library.
“The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) was established as a new tool in life science publication and communication, with participation of scientists from leading research institutions. JoVE takes advantage of video technology to capture and transmit the multiple facets and intricacies of life science research. Visualization greatly facilitates the understanding and efficient reproduction of both basic and complex experimental techniques, thereby addressing two of the biggest challenges faced by today’s life science research community:
i) low transparency and poor reproducibility of biological experiments and
ii) time and labor-intensive nature of learning new experimental techniques.” – From the JoVE About page.
The website groups JoVE materials into broad sections including the Most Popular Video Articles and Most Recent Video Articles and categorizes the videos by broad topic such as Neuroscience, Immunology & Infection, Clinical & Translational Medicine and more.
Using PubMed, you can search on JoVE content and click on the MGetIt button to access the video materials.
